Description:
The visit to the Bihar Vidhan Sabha by Class 12 Humanities students on 23rd July was a great experience. The students learned about various technical aspects of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, such as the question hour, the duration of the question hour, the white line boundary, the zero hour, and short-term notices, among others.
The students also visited the central hall used on the first day of the budget session for a joint meeting of both houses. They explored the basement, which comprises two auditoriums: one with a capacity of 300 members and the other with a capacity of 500 members. This basement was created following the vision of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. Additionally, the group visited the library.
Overall, the experience at the Bihar Vidhan Sabha was both novel and enriching. Conversations with various opposition leaders highlighted their demands for granting Bihar a special identity.
