We Karenites were extremely fortunate to have the presence of three exceptionally talented musical artists :- Shree Dhananjay Hegde, an Indian classical vocalist, Shree Rakesh, Tabla Specialist and Shree Sudhir Kumar, Harmonium Specialist.
They captivated us with their outstanding performances.
They were here because of Mr. Vivek, manager of SPICMACAY, a foundation devoted to the cause of preserving Indian Classical music, which is slowly losing its roots in our culture.
They gave the message that the beauty of Indian tradition is far beyond that of its western counterparts. They gave splendid performances and left us mesmerized.
Even today we feel the goose-bumps, when the image of their extensive notes of their musical extravaganza comes in our mind.
It was indeed a proud day for the Karenites
