5A- Gandhiji – South Africa Days (Gandhiji - train scene in South Africa in 1893). Role play – Britishers, Gandhiji
5B- Indigo (Scene of a field)- in Champaran, indigo plants. Role play- Britishers and farmers.
5C- Champaran Movement (Scene of a Champaran Movement). Role play- Gandhiji and Indian followers. Narration was done.
5D- Dandi March (Scene of a salt basin). Role play- Gandhiji, Indian followers.
5E- Introduction to Khadi
Role Play- Gandhiji and Indian boycotting British products and through Charkha – importance of Khadi was shown.
The students of STD 5 – all sections celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and the Golden Life of the Father of the Nation through various activities on 30th September 2022 during the school assembly. The students enacted different important stages of Mahatma Gandhi’s life, which included his early days in South Africa, non-violent protest for indigo plantation, Champaran Movement, and Dandi March. Through the act, the students gave the message of non-violence, peace, and harmony. One of the plays introduced Khadi to the students. The students learnt how Gandhiji boycotted British Goods and he made Khadi through his charkha. The students learnt about Khadi, its importance and uses through the act. Overall, it was an interesting and learning based activity.
