St. Karen's Secondary School organized an 'INTER SCHOOL SPELLING BEE COMPETITION' in which eight leading schools of Patna participated. They were St. Dominic Savio's High school, St. Karen's High School, Delhi Public School, International School (I.C.S.E.), International School (C.B.S.E.), St. Michael's High School, Radiant International School and St. Karen's Secondary School.

The competition saw vibrant shades of intellect and enthusiasm. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, reverend Father Tom Perumalil, Principal of St. Xavier's B. Ed. College. The competition was a true assessment of english vocabulary and its components like spellings, antonyms, synonyms ,etc. It had four rounds to analyze and assess the word power of participants. Mr. Naveen Herbert was the quiz-developer as well as the quizmaster like every year. It was a great learning experience for the all the participants as they went back with an even more enriched vocabulary. The competition was set up in year 2010 and since then it has been conducted every year successfully.

The Principal Mr. K.K. Kunjachan addressed the students and congratulated them for their spectacular performance.

The occasion was graced by the solemn presence of the Asst. Director Mr. Edward Galstaun, The Academic Head Mrs. Sharon Galstaun, The Vice Principal Mrs. Dikshita Karthak, The +2 Incharge Mr. P.P. Singh and all the teachers.
